A 70s film-esque vibe, reflecting on our digital culture and how lonely and isolating it can be. We’re all looking for connection in a super-connected world but many of us still feel like lonely hunters. Jo Ryder started writing this song in 2021 as an homage to people we’ve lost in our lives, as well as people we’re still searching for. (2023).
BLISS AND NOTHING LESS.
The song explores how heartbreaking, fleeting yet beautiful life can be. A love letter to places we spent our youth away in like Rancho Relaxo, Sterling Lofts, Drake Underground, Horseshoe, Lee’s Palace, Cameron House and many more Toronto indie venues circa 2008. NYC street level dreamscape vibes (2021).

Imprint was written pre-pandemic but took on new meaning as the global situation changed. Imprint is a song about memory and the meaning of human-to-human connection (2020).
