“The droney synth. the nonchalantly tragic vocals. That dark underground vibe of yesteryear. Very cinematic.”

WHO

Odale Cooper

Odale Cooper was born in the lonely, isolated void created by the COVID-19 pandemic. He is a music producer, composer, musician, and photographer interested in analogue technique and tools operating in the digital world. He recently released a remix of Cat and the Queen’s Blades of Grass and plays bass guitar in the Toronto-based indie rock band The Mooks.

A veteran of the Toronto music scene for over a decade, Odale has worked in many genres from rock n roll to tech house to satirical hip hop comedy. Jo Ryder presents an interesting challenge by taking advantage of both Odale’s interest in film photography and music production and is his first purely audio-visual project to date.
